My Family Care's Out of School Care service (www.outofschoolcare.co.uk) has been developed as a way to match the demand of parents looking for flexible out of school care to the supply of vacant camp places. It’s a great childcare solution for parents.

Who uses it?

Parents who use Out of School Care fall into two categories:

• Those that want to find their best local options for when their children are on school holidays,
  or they require out-of-school care; or
• Those who need a childcare solution because their regular childcare has broken down

Demand

There is currently a huge demand for flexible out-of-school care. On average working parents are taking at least 9 sick days a year just to cope with childcare problems. School holidays can prove especially troublesome. Lack of good, local and flexible childcare for parents means there is huge appeal for a service that can link this demand and supply.

How it works: Providers

Via a simple web based admin site, providers have the opportunity to set the prices and availability of group places for their site(s). In line with the best advice from Ofsted and BAHA, once a booking has been made the site manager will be informed immediately and sent over all of the required information via the method they choose (email, fax or post) as well as a text message if requested.

Prices are set by the camp, but must be at the same standard level advertised normally. Out of School Care takes a small percentage of the booking fee.
