If you want to book a kids camp space

  1. Enter the postcode with which you would like to locate a local kids camp.
We currently have sites committed to the scheme nationwide with more coming on board all of the time. If there are specific camps/sites you would like to see involved with this service, you are welcome to contact the Out of School Care team at newsite@outofschoolcare.co.uk who are only too happy to approach camps on your behalf.

  2. Your closest camps/sites are then displayed in order of proximity to your postcode. Click on a site for more information and to check their availability.
From the information given in the registration form, your child(ren) are automatically sorted into the correct group for their age. For simplicity only the availability of the relevant group(s) are shown.

  3. If there is availability, you simply click on the icon which represents your child, for however many days you want and then click “book now”.
Subject to availability of a camp space you can book as many days as you require – from as little as one day at most camps, up to the entire out-of-school period that the particular site runs.

If there is a phone icon in the days you want to book - call us.
The providers work to strict ratios; in some situations if the booking is for the same day or week, we will ask you to phone us and we will process the booking for you.

  4. Next is a booking page where you can choose additional options.
After selecting the days you require, the following page lets you choose the optional add-on’s that the site offers. These can include an extended day, hot lunch, and various additional ‘academies’. Just tick if you would like to add any options for the different day(s) you’re booking for. Any additional costs will be shown in the cost calculator that will follow your progress down the screen.

  5. Following this is a confirmation page where the amount owed is calculated.
Once you’ve booked day(s) at a site, and chosen any further options, you are taken to a confirmation page where you will need to check the dates, specify who will pick up your child from the site, set a collection password and choose how you would like the booking details sent, typically by e-mail but fax and post are also possible.

  6. Confirmation of the booking will be sent via email, fax or post as requested and the camp will be alerted via text message and email. The confirmation document which you receive includes: Opening times of the site, a street map link on how to get there, a checklist of things which you may need to bring, as well as a hardcopy medical disclaimer which you will need to sign. The camp receives a corresponding form which ensures that no important issues are overlooked and your child has all of the appropriate paraphernalia on the day.

Below we explain the costs of camps in the UK:

Kids Day Camp spaces

Prices for a kids day camp space will vary greatly depending on the area in which you live. Thanks to our relationship with camps and sites nationwide, we are able to allow parents to book at the same rate as offered by the camps directly. A day's booking can vary between as little as £20 and as much as £50. On average the cost of a day at a kids camp is between £20 and £30 per day, but generally the cost is reduced the more days you book at the same site during the same week.

Additional costs

In addition to the daily (or half day rate), many camps offer optional additional services – some of which incur a charge. Some sites will offer a lunch service – or you can send your child with a packed lunch. Every camp and site will vary in the options they offer.

Extended days: Generally day camp sites will run a standard day (e.g. 9am to 5pm), and an extended day service (e.g. 8.30am to 6pm). Every site will vary, but this greater flexibility will often be a great help to working parents – or to parents whose children want even more activity time at the site.

Academies: Many sites offer specialised ‘academies’ in addition to the daily cost. These academies typically run for a week, alongside the typical camp day. On average the cost for an academy is an additional £25 per week. If your child is interested in soccer, then maybe a football academy would be ideal, otherwise many sites offer sports academies, water sports, maybe arts/dance/drama related – if a site offers it, you can book it as an optional extra.
